This Cookie Policy explains how Stair Yard UK, a trading name of Express Matting Services Ltd, uses cookies and similar technologies on stairyard.co.uk. Our online store runs on Shopify.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work and can record how you use it.
Cookies we use
| Strictly necessary | Keep items in your basket, run the secure checkout, keep you signed in to your account and remember your cookie choice. Set by Shopify, for example cart, secure_customer_sig, localization and _tracking_consent. These are always on, because the store cannot work without them. |
| Analytics | Help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, so we can improve it. Set by Shopify, for example _shopify_y and _shopify_s. Used only if you accept them. |
| Marketing | Help measure our adverts and show relevant adverts on other websites, where we use advertising services such as Google. Used only if you accept them. |
Your choices
When you first visit the site, a cookie banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookies for stairyard.co.uk in your browser and revisiting the site, when the banner will appear again.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the basket and checkout from working.
How long cookies last
Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Others stay on your device for a set time, up to a maximum of one year for the cookies set by our store.
More information
For how we use personal information, see our Privacy Policy. You can read about Shopify's cookies at shopify.com/legal/cookies.
