A highly effective, simple-to-use multi-purpose bonding agent, primer, sealer and admixture for the building industry.

This PVA+ is a medium viscosity, polyvinyl alcohol stabilised, externally plasticised vinyl acetate homopolymer, containing no harmful phthalates. It is an ideal primer and sealer for concrete and plaster, designed specifically as a general-purpose, quick-drying bonding agent for concrete and cement. It also acts as a mortar improver and admixture for screeds and renders.

Usage

• General-purpose adhesive for wood, cork, paper, textiles, cardboard and similar porous substrates
• Admixture for mortar, screeds and renders
• Bonding agent for plaster, cement screeds and render on sound surfaces such as concrete, stone and brick
• Primer and sealer before plastering, painting or tiling
• Internal filler when mixed with wood shavings, plaster and similar

Consumption

• High suction surfaces, neat: 1 litre per 8.56m²
• Low suction surfaces, neat: 1 litre per 5.7m²
• As a sealer or primer diluted 1:3: 1 litre per 5.7m²

Consumption will vary depending on surface porosity.

• Total solids: 32–37%
• Minimum film forming temperature: -2°C to +5°C
• Conforms to the bond strength requirements of BS 5270: Part 1: 1989 – polyvinyl acetate (PVAC) emulsion bonding agents for internal use with gypsum building plasters
• Classified as a D2 wood adhesive under EN 204:2016
